This document governs your use of TCME Rental’s car rental and private transportation services in New Jersey. By reserving or using our services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

1. Services Provided
TCME Rental offers:
• Vehicle Rentals (short- and long-term)
• Private Transportation (e.g., with driver, limousine-style service)

2. Eligibility & Licensing
• Drivers must hold a valid New Jersey driver’s license appropriate for the rented vehicle; for chauffeurs operating private transportation (e.g., limousine service), a chauffeur endorsement is required per N.J. Rev. Stat. § 39:5G-2. Operating without it may incur penalties of up to $500 per offense .

3. Reservation, Rental Period, & Fees
• Rental agreements begin at the time specified and follow the state definition of a rental day (midnight to midnight or a 24-hour period as set in the contract) .
• For long-term rentals or agreements over 28 days, automatic renewal clauses only incur fees for the first 28 days unless explicitly modified  .

4. Insurance & Liability
• TCME Rental carries liability insurance as required by New Jersey law. If both our coverage and the renter’s personal insurance apply and contain “excess insurance” clauses, liability may be shared equally up to statutory minimums and pro-rated thereafter .
• Renters with adequate personal insurance may opt out of purchasing our supplemental coverage, subject to terms in the rental agreement.

5. Use Restrictions & Customer Conduct
• Vehicles must be used lawfully and safely, strictly in accordance with state laws.
• Private transportation drivers must comply with New Jersey safety regulations, including:
• Proper use of seat belts or child restraint systems for all passengers .
• No use of handheld devices while operating the vehicle; calls must be handled from a safe location .
• All operators must possess legally valid licenses for the class of vehicle driven; those in vans with 15+ seats must hold a commercial driver’s license (CDL) .
• Any unsafe or unlawful behavior (e.g., misuse of vehicle, hate speech, harassment, promotion of illegal activity) may result in immediate termination of service and possible legal action.

6. Reservation Amendments, Cancellations & Refunds
• Cancellation policy: [Specify number of days/hours before reservation] requirement for full or partial refund.

• We reserve the right to terminate any reservation or service for violations of these Terms, safety concerns, or illegal activity.
• Refusal of service may result in forfeiture of any prepaid fees, depending on the circumstances.

9. Disclaimers & Limitations of Liability
• Services are provided “as is.” We’re not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (e.g., loss of use, transportation delays, lost profits).
• We are not responsible for inaccuracies in our website content, reservation errors, or downtime due to maintenance or external issues.

10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
• These Terms are governed by the laws of New Jersey.
• Disputes will be resolved through arbitration in [City, County], NJ, or via state or municipal courts, as applicable.
• The state also retains authority to enforce civil penalties per N.J. Rev. Stat. § 39:5G-2 for violations related to chauffeur endorsements .
